We are starting 2020 off with Ancient China. HW will be assigned on a class-by-class basis, depending on the pace of the class and how much classwork is completed. If HW isn't officially assigned, students are encouraged to study their class notes and/or discuss what they are learning with their parent(s)/guardian(s). Class notes can be found on your child's Google account.
7th Grade Social Studies
We are starting 2020 off with Mesoamerica (the Maya, Aztecs and Incas). HW will be assigned on a class-by-class basis, depending on the pace of the class and how much classwork is completed. If HW isn't officially assigned, students are encouraged to study their class notes. Class notes can be found on your child's Google account. In addition, students are also encouraged to discuss what they are learning with their parent(s)/guardian(s).
8th Grade Social Studies
We have turned the corner and started learning about the first 3 presidents. In about a week, or once we finish learning about Thomas Jefferson, we will focus on The Lewis and Clark Expedition and Westward Expansion. It is not mandatory, but students are encouraged to review their Cornell Notes on Washington and Adams. Mandatory HW will be assigned on a class-by-class basis, depending on the pace of the class and how much classwork is completed. Class notes and Cornell Notes can be found on your child's Google account. In addition, students are encouraged to discuss what they are learning with their parent(s)/guardian(s).
7th Grade Curriculum Skills
Students are expected to complete homework assignments, class projects, study for tests, study for quizzes, and/or catch up on any missing or late assignments. It is strongly recommended that parents sit down with their child and review their grades on Illuminate. If parents have any questions, feel free to email or call me at 310-452-2326 Ext. 72118 or [email protected].
